Karunjit Kumar Dhir, Co-founder, SCIKEY is a PG in Planning and Entrepreneurship Management has spent the last two decades working on the business side in the technology consulting domain helping clients from various sectors. In his current role, as a Co-Founder is to define the business strategy and lead the business for one of their flagship ventures SCIKEY. His role is to contribute in shaping the product and business strategy to what it is today and spearhead the launch and growth of the product portfolio in multiple global markets.

What do you feel is the biggest strength of your company right now?
Our leadership team, the value-system and the culture we are building at SCIKEY that cares deeply about the people as one family.

What have been the biggest challenges you’ve had to overcome during the pandemic?
Ensuring and enabling good health (especially mental and emotional) for our people, manage our cost efficiency better as a business, transform and get the organization ready for the new norm. We are happy that despite all challenges, the team stood strong, our business got better and now with the arrival of vaccine we are also able to help all our employees and their direct dependents with the same. At SCIKEY, Employee Wellness is our top priority, and we deeply care about our people’s health. We have also introduced a COVID-19 Vaccination Re-Imbursement Policy for our employees and their immediate family members, along with other initiatives.

What would you do with 15 minutes of fame?
Use it in any way I can to reduce the economic and intellectual inequality in this world.

A marketing gimmick which you believe is pure gold and why?
Storytelling. People (customers) do not just buy a product or service, especially today when they have a plethora of options and so much of ‘noise’ with multiple brands trying to push the similar products or services. They buy when they feel connected, when there is a bigger cause or purpose behind that brand selling a particular product or a service and when they feel a human connection with that brand.

Your current web-series obsession and why?
Suits. It is so beautifully conceived and executed that it keeps the viewer on the edge. And, there is a lot of learning for business. I find it quite smart and intellectually stimulating series and something that I can connect with from a different real-life business scenarios.

An app you can’t live without?
Google.

Your favourite travel destination?
Australia, the classic fusion of the modern and natural beauty.

My mantra during pandemic?
Breathe. Detox. Get fully alive.

What advice do you have for the next generation?
Always value emotional happiness and good health over everything else, and be respectful and kind to every human being. Do not judge people as you do not know what their life’s struggle and story could be. Life is too short to be wasted in frustration, anger or envy. Let it go. Value and build relationships.
