Hindi cinema’s character artiste Sanjay Mishra had a soul-cleansing experience during the shooting of the film Bahut Hua Samman in Varanasi.
His edifying moment came in while he lived in an ashram for a month. He recalls the experience as one worth cherishing. The actor says he experienced the life of an ascetic.
“I find it difficult to describe my experience in Varanasi. Whenever I get to visit the city, there’s a part of me that I feel I have left behind,” says Mishra.
“Bahut Hua Samman”, an satire features Raghav Juyal, Abhishek Chauhan, Ram Kapoor, Nidhi Singh and Namit Das.
“The time I spent in the holy city is unforgettable. Raghav, Abhishek and I stayed in an ashram for almost a month. We really enjoyed the vibrations of this city. It was a cherishing experience,” Mishra says.
Mishra even cooked food for his co-stars on the set.
“We had so much fun shooting. Staying at the ashram with Sanjay Sir and Abhishek to trying a new dish each day, cooked especially for us by our very own Chef Sanjay Sir, we have so many memories,” says Raghav Juyal.
