PM is scheduled to arrive in Ahmedabad on March 12 to flag off 21-day march from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi to mark the anniversary of the historic Salt Satyagraha, which will also mark the launch of the celebrations of 75th year of Independence
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to launch the celebrations of the 75 years of Independence — Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav — on March 12 by flagging off a ‘Dandi March’ from the Gandhi Ashram in Sabarmati.
This was announced by the Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while presiding over the state level high-powered committee meeting held at significant role in India’s freedom struggle will celebrate the Amrit Mahotsav of India’s Independence in a grand manner. During the meeting, the deliberations were also held for organizing many programmes such as cycle and bike rallies, various competitions, programmes on the themes like ‘Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’. The aim to celebrate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is to attract the maximum participation from children, youths and citizens and spread the message of Mahatma Gandhi.
