Addressing AAP’s newly elected corporators in Surat, Kejriwal slams BJP saying they are not doing great work; Congress is wiped out
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is in Surat for a victory roadshow, urged the voters to support his party in the future as well. Making inroads in Gujarat politics, the AAP won 27 seats in the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC).
Addressing AAP’s newly elected corporators in Surat, Kejriwal slammed the BJP saying they are not doing great and there are a lot of issues. He also said that, the whole nation is talking about Surat’s civic polls results. The state is going to witness new revolution in 2022 polls.
“AAP is the only party that is challenging the BJP in the country. The party’s success in Gujarat is the beginning of new politics in the state. The Congress is being wiped off from everywhere,” he said.
In a pep talk with the party workers before his roadshow, the Delhi Chief Minister urged them to open offices, give their phone number to people and be ready to help even at 2 AM if needed. The party should move away from caste-based politics and concentrate on issue related politics.
“The public can tolerate everything but they cannot take not insult or arrogance. We must never humiliate anyone who comes to us,” he said adding that many people from different parties will try to break AAP, but the workers needs to stay strong.
One of the main reasons for AAP”s impressive show in Surat was the support it received from Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS), a quota agitation body once led by Hardik Patel, who is now the working president of Gujarat Congress, sources said.
