Deputy Inspector General of Police of Rajkot Range Sandeep Singh has lodged a complaint with the Central Crime Station (CCS) cybercrime wing against unknown individuals for hacking his Facebook account.

He claims that unknown people created the Facebook account in his name and sent friendship requests to people who are on the friends list. He also added that when people did not respond, then the hacker attempted to approach friends through chat box and demanded money for Singh’s safety.

When Singh was informed about this through his family and friends, he immediately lodged a complaint with cybercrime. As the investigation was on, the fake facebook page was deleted by the hacker.

This is not the first case and according to the sources, cybercrime gangs are increasing by the day.
