Legislators of the opposition Congress on Monday reached the Gujarat Assembly on bicycles as a mark of protest against the rise in fuel prices and inflation.

Youth Congress president and MLA Gulab Singh Rajput along with his supporters reached the assembly before the budget session began.

Rajput said that with the increase in prices of LPG, petrol and diesel, the government has made life of common man very difficult.

The BJP’s government at the centre as well as at the state level is not at all sensitive towards poor people and they are not taking any appropriate steps to reduce the inflation in our country. Rajput added that their party would raise issues related to common man from road to assembly.

The Gujarat budget session began on March 1 and the state finance minister Nitin Patel will present the budget on March 3. Meanwhile, the result of the panchayat elections will be announced on March 2.
