Kutch MP Vinod Chavda is also Covid-19 positive

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has tested positive for Covid 19 on Monday, a day after he collapsed on stage while addressing a rally for upcoming civic polls in the Nizampura area of Vadodara.

Rupani was rushed to UN Mehta hospital, Ahmedabad, where he was kept under observation for 24 hours.

For the last few days, Covid-19 cases were reported less and people has started violating the safety guideline, but after the CM of the state getting infected by the virus, administration now seems to be serious about the whole situation.

Sources close to Rupani said that, his condition is stable. All his medical check-up reports including EGC and CT scan are normal. There is nothing to worry about. He will be kept at the hospital for 24 hours just for observation. Rupani was to address three rallies in the state. All his political engagements including rallies in Surat, stands cancelled as of now.

Meanwhile, Kutch MP and State General Secretary Vinod Chavda was also admitted in Ahmedabad hospital as he has also been tested positive of Covid-19.

More than two dozen MLAs and ex-CMs were also infected by the Coronavirus in the past, while, Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Patel and Abhay Bhardwaj passed away due to the disease.
